Ruth B. Fisher Scholarship

History and Purpose

Ruth B. Fisher was a Bradford native and very active Zonta Club member for 23 years. Upon her death in 1978, she named the Zonta Club Bradford as beneficiary of her estate and, with her generous bequest, Zonta Club leaders established this scholarship in her memory.

The Zonta Club Bradford administers its own independent scholarship program in memory of Zonta member Ruth B. Fisher. In keeping with the mission of Zonta International, which empowers women through service and advocacy, the goal is to provide financial assistance by awarding a scholarship to qualified women seeking promising career opportunities.

Criteria/Eligibility

Scholarships will be awarded to female graduating seniors at Bradford Area High School who have been officially accepted into an accredited institution of higher learning.

Important Date Information

Completed applications must be submitted via the online form Zonta Club Bradford website by March20, 2025. No applications will be accepted after this date. Applicants will be notified of decisions by the end of April.
